
The 1st phase of 6-days long Farmer-Led Development (FLD) training has been successfully completed in MATI’s working area during 19-24 February 2025. The training was facilitated by Mr. Sirajul Haque a consultant and expert on FLD and Mr. Augustin Baroi ex-Program Director of Caritas Bangladesh and expert on FLD program. In the 2nd phase the follow-up the adaptation process of the FLD approach by the staff & community people especially Farmer will be done which will be followed up and supported by the facilitators.

Building local leadership
Through this training the process of adopting FLD approach within MATI’s programs especially in Sustainable Agriculture and Farmer Cooperative based Safe Food Value-Chain Development Program. Since inception, Mati has been following Self-defined Sustainable Development approach. This training has added an extra dimension to empowering farmers and strengthening future community-led development initiatives.
