AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON CLIMATE CHANGE
MATI includes information about climate change, healthy soil, and protecting the environment in all its projects and activities. A key part of MATI's work is teaching people about these important topics, and they did many things in 2023 to help spread awareness. They reached different groups of people in various ways. For example, they held meetings with local farmers' groups, taught students in special programs, and included information in their training courses about farming in ways that help the environment. They also gave out leaflets, celebrated important environmental days, and organized bicycle rallies to get the word out. MATI believes it's important to teach young people about these issues, so they held meetings in schools and colleges to help students understand the challenges and learn how to make a difference.
CLEAN CITY CAMPAIGN
MATI cares about the environment and helps keep things clean. Like they do every year, they held a "clean city" campaign to teach people why it's important to manage trash properly and keep their surroundings clean. This year, the campaign focused on helping young people become leaders in their neighborhoods. Thirty kids and teens, ages 5 to 25, took part. These young people don't just participate in the campaign once; they regularly encourage their neighbors to do small things that help keep the area clean. The campaign probably gave these young environmental champions new ideas and information to help them do even more to spread the word in their community.
