ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL SECURITY

MATI's integrated community development work has a particular emphasis on cooperative development of the community people, particularly organizing the women members of the smallholder farmers’ families as a key strategy for people-led sustainable development.

AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY

An organic study farm has been established in the village of Huzurikanda under Nakla Upazila of Sherpur district where both the staff and the farmers are learning organic and biodynamic farming practices in a method of learning by doing.

HEALTH AND WASH

MATI initiated health services in 2005 for a Scheduled Caste Hindu minority (Dalit) population living near the MATI Head office in Sankipara with the aim of promoting the wellness and good health of the urban and rural poor.

QUALITY EDUCATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

MATI maintained its commitment to early childhood development by operating four rural daycare centers

Mati cooperative has 1855 member organized in 52 village-based groups and 12 urban-groups.

The farmer cooperative-led value chain MATI SAFE FOOD is gradually growing up.

MATI established its first free school, the MATI Eco-School, in the MATI Eco-Village, Huzurikanda.
