MATI's integrated community development work has a particular emphasis on cooperative development of the community people, particularly organizing the women members of the smallholder farmers’ families as a key strategy for people-led sustainable development.
An organic study farm has been established in the village of Huzurikanda under Nakla Upazila of Sherpur district where both the staff and the farmers are learning organic and biodynamic farming practices in a method of learning by doing.
MATI initiated health services in 2005 for a Scheduled Caste Hindu minority (Dalit) population living near the MATI Head office in Sankipara with the aim of promoting the wellness and good health of the urban and rural poor.
